If there's one thing I've learned since I started doing family photography eight years ago, it's to just go with the flow. Let the kids be kids and wait (patiently!) for the right moment to snap a picture. If there's more than one kid in the family, there's going to be some level of chaos—especially if they're my  kids! I know for parents it can feel like total craziness during the shoot, and they're probably thinking, holy cow, we can't possibly be getting any good pictures out of this. But the shoots where the kids are full of energy and having fun always result in the best photos! Really!
